Aside from its stellar fuel economy, one of the biggest selling points of the 2022 Ford Maverick is its shockingly low price tag of $19,995 minus destination charges. However, most buyers have opted to add some options to their compact pickups, driving the average transaction price higher, with a top of the line Maverick coming in at around $36k. On top of that, high demand and short supply has prompted a number of dealers to mark their Mavericks up over MSRP. Now, select 2022 Ford Maverick trims are set to receive a price increase, too.

In the few months that it’s been on sale, the Maverick has proven to be a hot commodity. Deliveries of 2022 Maverick models equipped with Ford’s 2.0L EcoBoost I-4 began back in September, with the 2022 Maverick Hybrid following suit just this month. However, the Hybrid is already sold out for the 2022 model year, though those interested in ordering a 2023 model will be able to do so when order banks open up on August 16th, 2022, as Ford Authority reported earlier this week. 2023 Maverick production is scheduled to begin at the Ford Hermosillo Assembly Plant on October 24th, 2022, though these dates are subject to change, as always.
We’ll have much more on the Maverick soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Maverick news and non-stop Ford news coverage.

I’m curious about these increases. I have a signed order dated July 16 2022 from my dealer stating that my hybrid XLT with luxury pack and copilot will be $26,795. I was just notified that my truck has been built and is awaiting shipping. When I clicked on my window sticker it reads $27,140. If i placed my order way back in July why am o asked to pay for price increases that took effect in late December?
