2022 Ford Bronco Raptor Excluded From Price Protection Plan

When the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor was revealed earlier this week, FoMoCo noted that the carryover 2021 Ford Bronco reservation holders would get first dibs on the limited-production model for the 2022 model year. However, unsurprisingly, those that are lucky enough to score the high-performance off-roader won’t be eligible for the same price protection plan as the 2022 Ford Bronco, according to a dealer memo seen by Cars Direct.

As Ford Authority previously reported, most 2021 Bronco unscheduled orders impacted by Ford’s hardtop woes were pushed back to the 2022 model year, though Ford is offering price protection for impacted customers in the form of an incentive ranging from $250 up to $975, depending on trim and configuration. The incentive offsets the 2022 Bronco price increases announced last fall, and these incentives can be combined with Ford Plan Pricing, but not any returning lessee bonuses or loyalty discounts. These incentives are available for eligible customers through December 31st, 2022.

However, the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor will not be eligible for this price protection, nor will the upcoming Bronco Everglades. This makes perfect sense given the fact that both variants are new for the 2022 model year, though it does mean that customers who held out for either of these models won’t be getting any sort of discount, as the 2022 Bronco is already excluded from Ford’s factory order incentive, as Ford Authority reported yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Bronco Raptor will start out at $69,995, which is quite a bit more than the current range-topper in the Bronco lineup, the Wildtrak, which starts out at $49,475. However, it may be hard to score a Bronco Raptor for that price, as its limited production and high demand will likely prompt at least a few dealers to apply big markups to the most powerful production Bronco to date.
