Last year, the Ford Super Duty F-250 and Ford Ranger both landed on Consumer Reports‘ Most Satisfying Trucks list, while the latter model followed up that distinction by becoming the consumer organization’s highest-rated American pickup this year. As Ford Authority reported earlier this week, the Ford EcoSport wasn’t quite so lucky and wound up on CR‘s Least Satisfying Cars list, but the 2022 Ford F-350 didn’t suffer the same fate and has been named as one of Consumer Reports‘ Most Satisfying Trucks of 2022.
These rankings are based on CR‘s owner satisfaction scores, which are determined based on one simple question – would its members buy a vehicle again, if they had the chance? In that regard, the 2022 Ford F-350 performed rather well, recording the highest owner satisfaction score on this list – an 83 out of 100, beating out the second-place Honda Ridgeline by one point.
The 2022 Ford F-350 scored particularly well in a number of categories, including driving experience (91 out of 100), comfort (84), and styling (94), with its only knock coming in the form of value, where the F-350 scored a mere 46 out of 100. Regardless, 83 percent of owners surveyed said they would indeed buy the pickup again if they had the chance, which is more than any other truck on Consumer Reports‘ list.
The 2022 Ford Super Duty lineup received some new interior and exterior color options, upgraded tech features including the addition of an optional 12-inch infotainment screen, and the addition of some new and revised appearance packages. Additionally, as Ford Authority reported back in June 2022 Super Duty King Ranch and Platinum trims now come with standard four-wheel drive.
