The 2022 Ford Ranger Splash Package was revealed back in September, giving us our first look at the retro 1990s treatment. Since then, Ford Authority spies have spotted a number of prototypes out driving around, including pickups finished in Carbonized Gray, Hot Pepper Red Metallic, and Velocity Blue. However, in addition to the regular Splash Package, the 2022 Ford Ranger Splash Package will also be available with three different limited edition colors, as Ford Authority reported last September. Ford has been mum on what those colors are, save for what it calls the “Snow Edition,” but now the automaker has revealed all of the details on these limited color choices.
The first 2022 Ford Ranger Splash Limited Edition is, in fact, the Lariat Snow Edition, which is finished in Avalanche paint along with Magnetic accents and Avalanche grille nostrils. Inside, the Snow Edition features ebony leather-trimmed seats with Ash gray stitching and carbon weave tuxedo stripes and bolsters, along with various black accents. The Snow Edition will be limited to around 750 units and is expected to launch this spring.
Next up, we have the XLT Forest Edition, which features Forged Green paint, Magnetic accents, and red grille nostrils on the outside, along with ebony cloth seats with Ash Gray accent stitching and carbon weave tuxedo stripes and bolsters inside the cabin, along with additional black accents. The Forest Edition will be limited to 500 units and is expected to launch this summer.
The finally 2022 Ford Ranger Splash Package Limited Edition model is the XLT Sand Edition, which features Desert Sand paint, Magnetic accents, and red grille nostrils on the outside, as well as ebony cloth seats with Ash Gray accent stitching and carbon weave tuxedo stripes and bolsters, and black accents for the interior. The Sand Edition will be limited to roughly 500 units and is expected to launch this fall.
Each of these Splash Limited Edition packages features an MSRP of $1,495. Ranger Splash Package-equipped models also come with black and orange bodyside graphics, orange grille nostrils, unique 18-inch, 12-spoke matte black wheels, and gloss black accents for the grille, rearview mirror caps, bumpers, fender vents, and wheel lip moldings. The Splash Package can also be combined with the FX2 or FX4 packages for those seeking additional off-road capability.
Inside, the 2022 Ranger Splash Package is equipped with unique seats with carbon grain, tuxedo stripes, and orange contrast stitching, which will also feature leather trim on Lariat models. Lariats also get orange contrast stitching on the dash and armrests, while all Splash Package-equipped pickups gain the same bright-colored stitching on the steering wheel, parking brake boot, and shifter.
We’ll have more on the new Ranger Splash soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford Ranger news and continuous Ford news coverage.
