2022 Shelby Ford F-150 Raptor Debuts As Beefed Up Muscle Truck

There are many tuners out there offering more powerful and more stylish versions of the Ford F-150, including Roush, Hennessey Performance, and Shelby American, to name a few. Hennessey just began production of its fortified VelociRaptor 600 this week, and now, another stylish tuner alternative has emerged – the 2022 Shelby Ford F-150 Raptor, which gives that Texas-based build a real run for its money.

The 2022 Shelby Ford F-150 Raptor introduces the iconic company’s treatment to the all-new third-generation version of the off-road-focused pickup, starting under the hood. There, Shelby gives Ford’s 3.5L EcoBoost V6 a host of upgrades including its own performance intake with a high-flow filter and oversized air intake tube, an aluminum radiator, one-piece heat shield, Shelby tuned exhaust, and a proprietary tune that lifts output to 525 horsepower and 610 pound-feet of torque – gains of 75 horsepower and 100 pound-feet over stock.

On the outside, the new Shelby F-150 Raptor sits a bit higher than stock thanks to a 3-inch BDS lift, which makes room for 18-inch Shelby alloy wheels wrapped with 37-inch BFGoodrich KM3 mud-terrain rubber. The exterior looks a lot different than a standard F-150 Raptor too, thanks to the addition of a chase rack, a Shelby hood, power steps/rock sliders, unique striping and graphics, a Shelby front grille, and front and rear bumpers with integrated lighting.

The interior has received a number of upgrades as well, including unique leather for the seats, embroidered floor mats, billet pedals, and a serialized plaque. That last bit is important since this is a limited edition product, though the 2022 Shelby Ford F-150 Raptor is available now through select Tuscany and Ford dealers in North America, with a starting MSRP of $124,820.
