Ford Disaster Relief Extension Offer Launched For Colorado Owners

When disaster strikes, Ford is always quick to respond and help victims or just provide financial relief for its customers. As we’ve seen in recent months, that includes sending 2021 Ford F-150 pickups equipped with its 3.5L PowerBoost V6 and Pro Power Onboard to help out following a string of tornadoes in the midwest, providing financial relief for victims of historic winter storms in Texas, and extending employee pricing to folks that lost their vehicles to flooding after Hurricane Ida. Now, a Ford disaster relief extension offer has been launched for Blue Oval customers in Colorado, who have suffered from historic wildfires in recent weeks.

This Ford disaster relief extension offer gives customers with eligible accounts the opportunity to defer one or two monthly payments without having to also pay extension fees. Approximately 1,000 eligible Ford Credit and Lincoln AFS customers in areas affected by the Colorado fires will receive a postcard and/or email instructing them on how to participate in the program. These communications were sent out starting January 20th, 2022.

These customers, along with those that did not receive the communications who believe they are eligible for payment extensions, can call Ford’s dedicated customer service line at (800) 723-4016 to expedite this request or request it for their accounts. This disaster assistance relief offer is good through March 4th, 2022.

There are, of course, a couple of caveats to this offer, including the fact that for retail customers, interest may continue to accumulate during the month or two payments are deferred. Additionally, regular payment schedules will resume once the deferment period has ended. Regardless, this relief will be welcome news to the many folks whose lives have been severely impacted by the recent Colorado wildfires, which claimed a number of homes and lives in that area.
