2018-2021 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R Steering Wheel Now Available

The S550-generation Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 came into this world and left rather abruptly after just a small handful of model years packing FoMoCo’s glorious 5.2L Voodoo V8. Ford Authority was the first to report on the GT350’s demise back in April 2020, and the very last example of this track-oriented model rolled off the assembly line early last year. That doesn’t mean that The Blue Oval will stop making and selling parts for the beloved model, however, as this new 2018-2021 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R steering wheel proves.

Arriving on the heels of Mustang parts including the GT500’s supercharged 5.2L Predator V8 crate engine and upgraded cylinder heads – which are compatible with Ford’s 5.0L Coyote V8 – the 2018-2021 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R steering wheel is available under part number M-3600-M350RA for a retail price of $885. Ford doesn’t provide any details regarding which Mustang models the wheel is compatible with, but it should work on any S550-gen pony car.

This GT350R wheel is great for owners that want to replace a worn or damaged unit in their Shelby, and also provides a nice upgrade over the more mundane stock wheel in other Mustang models. The wheel features a red sightline in the top center, along with an Alcantara and leather covering to provide more grip and a cushier feel, as well as red stitching for a sportier look. And since the GT350R wheel uses the same hardware as other Mustang wheels, all one has to do is swap everything over to the new wheel to make it work.

The only real downside to the GT350R wheel is that it doesn’t allow one to keep the heated steering wheel function, but given its cool looks and nice feel, that may not be a big deal for some folks.
