2022 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 In Brittany Blue: Real World Gallery

The 2022 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 carries over mostly unchanged for the new model year but does present a few minor tweaks, along with a few new color choices. One of those new hues is Brittany Blue Metallic, which is the color that adorns the flanks of this 2022 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 that was recently spotted driving around by Ford Authority spies. Ford has already revealed the 2022 Shelby GT500 in Brittany Blue, but these are the first real-world photos of the ultimate Mustang finished in this new hue.

Along with Brittany Blue Metallic, the 2022 Mustang Shelby GT500 is also available in Atlas Blue Metallic, Dark Matter Gray, Code Orange, Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-CoatEruption Green Metallic, Grabber Blue Metallic, and Mischievous Purple Metallic.

Otherwise, changes to the 2022 Mustang Shelby GT500 are minimal. The biggest addition is the launch of the new Heritage Edition, which pays homage to the original 1967 Shelby GT500 with its Brittany Blue paint and two different exterior stripe options – vinyl or hand-painted – which can be had in Wimbledon White or Absolute Black in the case of the painted stripes.

The 2022 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 also adds Code Orange to its exterior color options, which is available on the Ford Bronco Raptor and Ford F-150 Raptor. Additionally, the high-performance pony car is dropping the Carbon Fiber Handling Package for the new model year, as Ford Authority reported last November.

Though it isn’t gaining any additional standard equipment for the new model year, the 2022 GT500 is receiving a 6 percent price increase, taking its base MSRP from $70,300 to $74,555, as Ford Authority reported last month.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

yawn, but because it’s a heritage color people will line up to buy it and flip it.

That is just pure boring for such a machine.

It’s sad when they only sell one car and the only change they make is a color. I guess they are too busy developing scooter bikes or another size pickup truck.

Thought I wanted this color for my ‘22 GT currently on order. I was wrong – this version of Brittany is totally washed out. 2B6B4E will look much more striking when (if?) my pony is delivered.

You can’t get that color on a GT. It’s only available on the GT500 Heritage and on the Ecoboost Costal Package.
