2022 Lincoln Nautilus Gains New Bronze Smoke Color: First Look

The 2022 Lincoln Nautilus adds two new colors to its roster: Gilded Green Metallic and Bronze Smoke. Here’s our first look at the Bronze Smoke option.

Assigned order code EF, Bronze Smoke is one of 10 colors offered on the 2022 Lincoln Nautilus (base) and Nautilus Reserve. It can be paired with any interior color combination except for Slate on the Reserve trim. Additionally, the new Bronze Smoke hue is not available for the Nautilus Black Label.

Lincoln Nautilus Trim Levels:

  • Base
  • Reserve
  • Black Label

Lincoln Nautilus Interior Color Combinations:

  • Ebony
  • Sandstone
  • Ebony/Roast
  • Slate
  • Alpine
  • Luggage Tan

In addition, the Bronze Smoke color is not a no-cost option. Instead, it’s offered as a $695 option.

The 2022 Nautilus has been in production since November 2021 at the Ford Oakville Assembly Plant. As of this writing, the 2022 Lincoln Nautilus in Bronze Smoke is available at dealer lots nationwide, however availability varies – so check with yours for complete details.

Ford Authority has extensively reported on the changes and updates for the 2022 Lincoln Nautilus and its new interior Flight theme, which adds a host of additional features inside the Nautilus cabin, including dark engine turn appliqués, specialty Luggage Tan leather seats with runway perforation, a Luggage Tan headliner, and Ebony Velour carpet with metal cuff accents.

Additionally, Ford Authority has reported that the Nautilus will be discontinued after the 2023 model year. Currently, it’s unclear what will become of the Lincoln Nautilus name, but it is certainly possible that one of the five future electric vehicles set to be built at the Oakville plant will be a direct successor to the Nautilus.

The 2022 Nautilus continues to ride on the Ford CD4 platform shared with the 2022 Ford Edge. The Nautilus joined the Lincoln lineup for the 2019 model year, replacing the Lincoln MKX during its midcycle refresh. For its part, the second-generation MKX originally debuted for the 2016 model year.
