Kanye West – or Ye, as the long-time producer, rapper, and all-around celebrity has legally changed his name to – has been in the news quite a bit lately following his very public divorce from now ex-wife Kim Kardashian. Most recently, West’s public rants on Instagram, which include many references to Kardashian’s new love interest, comedian Pete Davidson, earned him a 24-hour ban from the social media platform. Thus, it’s undoubtedly interesting that Ford Authority spies recently spotted a 2023 Lincoln Corsair prototype donning a Kanye West window sticker.
It’s unclear why, exactly this 2023 Lincoln Corsair prototype is pretending to carry Ye onboard as a rear-seat passenger, though it certainly figures to draw plenty of attention while it’s out cruising around, which is typically something that prototypes aim not to do. Regardless, if that was FoMoCo’s intention here, it obviously worked, as the giant sticker can’t be missed, while a QR code sticker is also present on the rear side window as well.
Regardless, aside from its very special feature, this particular Corsair prototype appears to be a Grand Touring model equipped with the optional towing package, which adds a four-pin trailer harness, Trailer Sway Control, and a trailer hitch, which allows the Corsair Grand Touring to tow loads of up to 3,000 pounds.
Out back, this 2023 Corsair prototype is fitted with a pair of EPA exhaust tips for testing purposes, and there’s also a data box on the side that is likely related to the exhaust system.
As Ford Authority reported back in November, the 2023 Corsair – along with its platform-mate, the Ford Escape – is set to receive a mid-cycle refresh that will include some exterior styling updates and the addition of numerous tech features including Lincoln ActiveGlide – the brand’s hands-free driver-assist system – improved voice recognition, the introduction of SYNC 4, and a new, larger touchscreen, as well as a hybrid powertrain option ahead of a more comprehensive redesign in 2025. Ford Authority spies have spotted a number of other 2023 Corsair prototypes over the past few months, including a possible hybrid model.
