Digital services continue to expand rapidly in the automotive world, a space that Ford has gotten far more involved in recently as it launched a subscription car service in Brazil and a Ford Pro mobile service pilot in Germany. Now, a new Ford car subscription service has been launched in Germany as well, giving residents in that European country the chance to order one of several pre-configured models with a simple, set term and all-inclusive pricing.
The new Ford car subscription service is the result of a partnership with the Fleetpool Group, which specializes in commercial fleet rentals and leases. Interested parties can choose between the Ford Focus, Ford Fiesta, Ford Puma (one of Europe’s most popular vehicles in 2021), Ford Kuga (Europe’s best-selling plug-in hybrid last year), and the Ford Mustang Mach-E, which has been a hot commodity in that region as well.
Contract terms are limited to one year, though customers can opt for miles ranging from 10,000-30,000 kilometers (6,214-18,641 miles). There is no down payment required, nor final payment, while taxes, insurance, maintenance, inspection, registration, and even season tires are all included in one convenient payment. Essentially, customers only have to dish out for the cost of fuel or electricity used, on top of the monthly payment.
“Through the cooperation with Fleetpool, Ford’s dealer partners now have a trendsetting mobility offer at their disposal that appeals to new, young customer groups and actively shapes the dynamic car subscription market,” said Stefan Wieber, Sales Director Passenger Cars at Ford Werke GmbH. “This subscription offers carefree mobility through completely digital contract processing, cost control, and transparency as well as all-inclusive monthly installments without a down payment and final installment.”
