2022 Ford Bronco Gains New Eruption Green Metallic Color: First Look

The 2022 Ford Bronco adds four new colors to its lineup: Desert Sand, Code Orange, Hot Pepper Red Tinted Clearcoat, and Eruption Green. Here’s our first look at the new Eruption Green option.

Assigned order code FA, Eruption Green is one of 11 available exterior colors for the 2022 Ford Bronco, which include:

  • Velocity Blue Metallic
  • Shadow Black
  • Area 51
  • Iconic Silver Metallic
  • Carbonized Gray Metallic
  • Cactus Gray
  • Race Red
  • Oxford White
  • Hot Pepper Red Metallic (new for 2022)
  • Code Orange (new for 2022)
  • Desert Sand (new for 2022)
  • Eruption Green (new for 2022)

The new green color is a $295 option, and is available in conjunction with all trim levels except for the Everglades trim. In addition, the new hue can be paired with all the interior color environments.

Ford Bronco Trim Levels:

  • Base
  • Big Bend
  • Blad Diamond
  • Outer Banks
  • Badlands
  • Wildtrak
  • Everglades
  • Raptor

Ford Bronco Interior Color Combinations:

  • Black Onyx
  • Blue/Black

Currently, the 2022 Bronco is available at dealers nationwide, although supply of the rugged 4×4 remains very tight as the Ford Michigan Assembly Plant is prioritizing producing customer orders over inventory units.

Ford Authority has extensively covered the changes to the Bronco for the 2022 model year, which include FoMoCo soon ditching the factory navigation system (in May), while adding an optional off-road suspension upgrade for the Wildtrak trim, and a removable hoop step option. In addition, Ford has introduced another Bronco trim in the form of the 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades.

It is worth noting that demand for the sixth-generation Ford Bronco has remained far higher than supply since The Blue Oval reintroduced the revealed the reborn Bronco for the 2021 model year. FoMoCo expects this to remain the case at least through this year. However, certain options are more supply-constrained than others, so The Blue Oval has continued to encourage customers to drop several options from their order in order to receive their vehicles faster.

For the 2022 Bronco colors, you don’t have Cyber Orange listed??

Eruption green was revealed at the tail end of last summer. When i converted my order over to a MY22 in October, i changed my paint color from Cyber Orange to Eruption Green.

Had to check the date on this article.

Is this not the same Eruption Green we’ve known about for months? The one used in the Bronco Raptor reveal? I’ve seen 3 different Eruption Greens in real life already.

When will Ford stop with this nonsense of color options when you have to wait 18+ months just to get one. That’s a little cart before the horse isn’t it? Is the Bronco team so bored they have nothing else to do? Just love seeing articles about the Bronco. Want one? 2023 or 2024 is most likely when you’ll get it if you ordered it in 2022. Bronco team is too busy playing with what color it should be, what options can be added so on and so on. Hey Ford Authority, why don’t you post more articles of the Broncos not being delivered and why? I did call Ford. They told me that all reservations holders will have the Bronco delivered by the end of this summer. Starting with the US first. You canuks can just wait, okay, eh?
