The Ford Authority Take

Ford Argentina sales were once again in the red in February 2022. Although last month’s dip was less pronounced than those of previous months, the result represents Ford’s tenth consecutive decline in the Argentine market. The lackluster performance is the result of a marked decline in both demand and supply.

The decrease in Ford Argentina sales was led by weak performance of the best-selling Ranger truck, which was also the case in January 2022. Sales of the domestically-built midsize pickup suffered a double-digit decline to below 1,000 units in February.

However, three nameplates managed to post sales gains, including the Ford EcoSport, F-Series and Territory. In addition, the all-new Ford Maverick accounted for its first 106 deliveries last month in Argentina, marking quite a solid start to sales of the new compact pickup.
