Ford Motor Company China Sales Down 19 Percent In Q1 2022

Ford Motor Company China sales decreased 18.8 percent to 125,000 units during the first quarter of 2022. In China, FoMoCo offers its two core brands – Ford and Lincoln, as well as a China-specific brand called JMC as part of the Jiangling-Ford joint venture.

“We are laser-focused on accelerating the delivery of our Ford+ growth plan based on a robust portfolio centered on Chinese customers,” said President and CEO of Ford China, Anning Chen, in a statement. “This batch of new vehicles launched in the first quarter exemplifies our ‘Best of Ford, Best of China’ commitment for growth, as early orders indicate our new products deliver on the preferences of Chinese customers,” he added.
