There were plenty of tricked-out Fords on display at SEMA 2021, and Ford Authority was able to get up close and personal with many of them. One of those off-road-ready vehicles was this 2021 Ford Ranger Lariat Tremor, custom-built by Attitude Performance for Outside magazine, and we were able to snag some photos showing off the unique build.
Perhaps the most striking and instantly noticeable feature of this particular Ford Ranger Lariat Tremor is, of course, the Outside logo overlaid on the truck’s understated two-tone paint scheme. The publication tapped Attitude Performance, an Illinois-based custom shop specializing in 4×4 builds, to outfit this Ranger with a wide range of adventure-ready features.
Under the hood, this 2021 Ford Ranger Lariat Tremor draws power from the 2.3L I4 Ecoboost engine, capable of 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, paired with the Blue Oval’s 10-speed automatic transmission. A cat-back exhaust features black chrome tips to match the rest of the truck’s blacked-out trim. The vehicle rides on a 6-inch lifted suspension with FOX coil-over shocks to provide a smooth ride over rough terrain, along with a set of 20-inch Weld Ledge 6 wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich all-terrain tires.
Up front, the vehicle sports an off-road capable front bumper by ARB, along with a flashy underbody rock light kit, a hood hinge-mounted off-road light kit, and off-road recovery boards. There’s also a 47-quart cooler integrated into the truck’s exterior to keep drinks cold after a day of adventuring. In the bed, there’s a Thule Tepui roof top tent mounted on a Yakima Overhaul roof rack, along with custom bed lighting and a tailgate lock over an ARB Summit rear bumper. This custom 2021 Ford Ranger Lariat Tremor also features a fender flare kit by Air Design, as well as door sill armor to keep the elements at bay to ensure passenger comfort.
Speaking of the interior, Outside‘s 2021 Ford Ranger Lariat Tremor features custom Katzkin leather seats and all-weather floor mats. Passengers have access to a GoalZero power station to keep devices charged up, and those devices can be securely stowed in the under-seat safe. There’s also a BioLite Firepit Plus for outdoor cookouts.
Perhaps the most unique aspect of this custom 2021 Ford Ranger Lariat Tremor is the Ford Research and Advanced Engineering atmospheric water extraction system made by Watergen. This system uses a heat-exchange module to harness condensation as a means for extracting and collecting atmospheric water.
All said and done, this 2021 Ford Ranger Lariat Tremor is ready to hit the trail for the ultimate outdoor adventure.
