Aside from quickly becoming a hit with consumers, the 2022 Ford Maverick has earned its fair share of accolades from critics over the past few months as well. Those include two 2022 Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Awards – Best New Model and Best New Compact Truck, Vincentric’s Best Fleet Value in America Award, 2022 North American Truck of the Year, a KBB 2022 Best Resale Value Award, and Green Truck of the Year. Now, the 2022 Ford Maverick continues to expand its proverbial trophy case after scoring a Wards Auto 10 Best Interior & UX award.
This year, Wards decided to combine the Interior and UX (user experience) awards into one, whereas in previous years they were separate honors. Regardless, the Maverick earned a spot on the top ten list by scoring highly in terms of interior design, fit and finish, high-quality and distinctively styled interior materials, comfortable seating, and technology features such as easy-to-operate infotainment screens, easy pairing, and voice-recognition and advanced-driver-assist systems that perform well.
The 2022 Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX Awards were determined following a review of 22 different vehicles, each with new or heavily redesigned interiors and user-experience technology. Evaluations took place from mid-February through late April in which judges experienced the vehicles during their daily driving. Wards will hold an awards ceremony for the winners at the AutoTech: Detroit conference at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan on June 9th.
The Maverick is just the latest Blue Oval model to receive accolades from Wards Auto. Most recently, that list also includes the 2021 Ford F-150, which was named a Top 10 UX and 10 Best Interiors winner, the 2020 Ford Escape, which earned a 10 Best UX award, and the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E, which was gifted a 10 Best Interiors and a 10 Best UX award.

so ford maverick won these great interior awards???? where were the engineers when they stored the jack behind a seat which is not slit-and storage under a rear seat that is not spit-they figured every maverick owner would not have kids or grand-kids in the truck if they got a flat or needed something out of storage-guess you set the kid and his car seat on the side of the road while changing your flat-I know they were keeping costs down, but we would pay a couple dollars for some of these add on-after all, the dealers are adding 25% plus to a vehicle that the company is pushing as inexpensive vehicle-so company says $30,000 msrp and dealer ups that a few grand-once again ford????
