2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E Gains New Iced Blue Silver Color: First Look

The 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E adds one new exterior color to its roster: Iced Blue Silver Metallic. Here’s our first look at the new color.

Assigned order code GP, Iced Blue Silver Metallic is one of eight available color options for the 2022 Mustang Mach-E, which include:

  • Space White Metallic
  • Grabber Blue Metallic
  • Star White Metallic
  • Rapid Red Metallic
  • Shadow Black
  • Dark Matter Gray Metallic
  • Cyber Orange Metallic
  • Iced Blue Silver Metallic (new for 2022)

The new blue hue is a no-cost option available on every Mach-E trim level. However, it cannot be paired with the Ice White Appearance Package, which is optional on the Premium trim.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Trim Levels:

  • Select
  • California Route 1
  • Premium
  • GT
  • GT Premium

Ford Mustang Mach-E Interior Color Combinations:

  • Black Onyx
  • Light Space Gray
  • Black Onyx with Copper Metallic Stitching
  • Performance Gray with Metallic Stitching

The Ford Mustang Mach-E has remained a hot commodity since launching over a year ago, and demand for the new electric crossover quickly exceeded FoMoCo’s expectations. In addition, the current pandemic has continued to create difficulties within the supply chain, including but not limited to the semiconductor chip shortage.

As a result, Ford had to stop taking orders for both the 2022 Mustang Mach-E Premium and California Route 1 trims, though order banks remain open for the Select, GT, and GT Performance Edition trim levels. Even so, these trims have extremely long wait times of up to 32 weeks or more. However, these delays have a silver lining – FoMoCo has canceled its scheduled price increase as a result of the healthy demand.
