Though the Ford Mustang Mach-E ranks as one of Consumer Reports‘ most satisfying vehicles to own with the vast majority of owners indicating that they’d buy one again, the EV crossover is also one of the fastest-selling used vehicles on the market thanks to the fact that used prices are actually higher than new at the moment. However, as is usually the case, Ford Mustang Mach-E pricing varies based on location as well, and in the case of this particular model, the cheapest place to buy one is in upstate New York, according to new data from iSeeCars.
That data indicates that purchasing a used Ford Mustang Mach-E in the area of Albany, Schenectady, and Troy, New York costs, on average $12,114 or 18.6 percent less than the most expensive place in the U.S., which is currently Denver, Colorado. That’s also the ninth largest regional pricing variation on this particular list, which means that it’s certainly worth shopping around for a used EV.
“When looking at the available used electric cars, used car prices can vary by as much as $41,913 between cities,” said iSeeCars Executive Analyst Karl Brauer. “In today’s market, deals on used electric cars are difficult to find, and even after purchasing a plane ticket or taking a road trip, consumers may find that traveling to buy a used electric car could be worth it for significant savings.”
Whether or not it’s worth it to pay for the gas and/or plane ticket to travel and purchase one’s next used vehicle will vary on a case by case basis, of course. But in the case of the Mach-E, used car shoppers in places like Denver stand to potentially save a ton of money if they can find a better deal somewhere else.
