As more and more consumers continue to favor off-road oriented parts and accessories, Ford continues to expand its catalog in that regard. Among its current vehicle lineup, the Ford Maverick and Ford Bronco have proven to be two of the most commonly modified as well, with owners seeking upgrades for those models at an “unprecedented” rate, according to the automaker. That includes customers in Brazil, where the 2022 Ford Maverick launched back in October, while the first deliveries began in April. Now, Brazilian Maverick owners have a bevy of new accessories to choose from that aren’t available in the U.S., at least for now.
Brazil’s 2022 Ford Maverick catalog contains a total of over 18 different offerings designed specifically for the compact pickup by The Blue Oval, including a bed extender that adds significant length for carrying larger items such as bicycles, as well as a locking tonneau cover for storing secure goods in that same area. Ford offers both a manual and power tonneau cover, the latter of which features a remote control and integrated lighting. Those accessories are available for U.S. Maverick owners, but Brazilian accessory shoppers get some additional goodies too, like running boards, which have yet to be added to the Ford accessory roster for North America.
Bicyclists can also opt for a Nomad Trucks Sportspad to cover the tailgate and transport two-wheelers in that manner, which has become quite popular in the U.S. Additionally, cargo containers are available for those that want to store things in the bed in a more organized manner, which also include an anti-theft wrench, removable trays, and are made of ABS plastic for strength. Meanwhile, fender flares help protect the sides of the Maverick and are also made out of ABS plastic.
Moving down the line, Brazilian Maverick owners can also purchase a satin black air intake for the hood, side steps to help ingress and egress, a sport bar, and a trailer hitch to take advantage of the pickup’s towing capabilities. While it’s a possibility that we’ll see these accessories pop up in Ford’s U.S. catalog in the near future, it’s notable that they’re already available in Brazil, so until then, owners in the Maverick’s home market will have to wait and see if these useful items will pop up in some fashion down the line.
We’ll have more on the Maverick soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Maverick news and ongoing Ford news coverage.

Man I was glad to see the Maverick was low clearance so folks could get in them without running boards and step ladders, heck you might as well get a ranger, and you might be able to get it haha. I wonder if that catalog will say items not available at this time haha. The Maverick I ordered one year ago must be waiting for items called not available. It seems Ford takes care of every other country orders, except for the folks in this country that made ford great that’s my opinion, the way I hear the form readers, anyway we need to be patience.
Yes, Bob, it’s awful of Ford to sell Mavericks to customers in Brazil. What an awful, awful thing that those people can buy a product just like us.
Sarcasm aside, you might want to see how many Mavericks Ford has delivered in the U.S. vs Brazil before you make such an incredibly ignorant statement. Have a nice one, Bob.
First off I never mentioned Brazil you did!! I was talking about other countries in general, and to be calling one ignorant after seeing other responses stating facts there must be a lot of ignorant people out there. Buy the way John you enjoying your new Maverick , and have a nice day too
You can’t buy a Maverick at msrp. The auto market is nuts. Time to cancel the orders and just wait until this is over.
Orders are generally sold at MSRP. So, yeah, cancel your order to avoid price gouging?
That’s all well and good for Brazil, but I just want my October order. Absolutely ridiculous that at the very soonest, it will be 11 months before it’s in my driveway. Absolutely no excuses for selling so many more than they could build, then still launching it in other countries. I’ve been as positive as possible for as long as possible. Build my truck now!
Nice to know that Brazil is taken care of before the US. We are waiting on our orders and asked to take some off, but Brazil gets to add. Again Ford, where is your priority. Ordered in October, 2021 and still waiting in June, 2022.
Happy to hear that the Maverick is available in Brazil and new accessories offered which might be available in the future for US customers too. The fundamental issue is that the Maverick is made in Mexico at the Hermosillo Plant filling North and South American Orders. What that means is less Maverick for the US … I for one ordered my Hybrid back in 2021 July and awaiting. Ordering is closed till August for new orders … in the US
Can you share a link to the actual catalog? I’d like to look at it directly, see part numbers, etc.
Wouldn’t it make sense to make some Mavericks in the US for US customers …I mean it’s not like they won’t sell them. How about some American Worker Pride & “Made in USA” Ford? I’m going to buy 1 be nice if it was a great American vehicle Made in USA….
Ordered in Oct. I will be turning 85 years old in two weeks. Lord, I pray I live long enough to get my truck and am able to enjoy it for a few years.
I just got an email from Ford letting me know my vehicle should ship from plant the week ending 08-29. It’s been a year long wait. I sold my 3 year old jeep for way more than I paid for it, and will pay off the Maverick.
13 months to the day for my Maverick XLT Hybrid from order date to being in the dealer. July 3, 2021 to August 3, 2022, but fortunately I had another car. On the other hand the dealer didn’t charge me a penny more then the original order. Loving it so far.
