2022 Ford Transit Recalled Over Instrument Panel Cluster Lighting Issue

Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2022 Ford Transit models over an instrument panel cluster lighting issue.

The defect: in affected vehicles, the instrument panel cluster may not properly illuminate.

The hazards: failure to illuminate the cluster display could render safety-related telltales and gauges unreadable, increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue.

Components: instrument panel cluster

Affected vehicles: select 2022 Ford Transit vehicles built at the Ford Kansas City Assembly Plant between June 4th, 2021, and May 23rd, 2022.

Number of vehicles affected: 30,244

The fix: dealers will update the instrument panel cluster software, free of charge.

Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin July 25th, 2022. The Ford reference number for this recall is 22C11.
