After a months-long dry period, news surrounding the 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R has been picking up substantially over the past few weeks, revealing more and more details about the forthcoming V8-powered pickup. Now, sources familiar with the matter have told Ford Authority that the 2023 Ford Raptor R lineup will offer the relatively new Area 51 hue as an exterior paint color option.
Area 51 is relatively new to The Blue Oval in general, and is currently available on the Ford Maverick, Ford Bronco Sport, and Ford Bronco. Now, the 2023 Ford Raptor R lineup will join that group, though this information doesn’t necessarily mean that the Raptor R will be the only 2023 Ford F-150 variant that will be available in this particular color.
Last month, a number of leaks emerged regarding the Ford F-150 Raptor R, including a series of window stickers that confirmed a host of colors for the new model – Avalanche Gray, Azure Gray Metallic Tri-Coat, Code Orange, Iconic Silver, Oxford White, Antimatter Blue, and Agate Black. Not one, but two leaked photos and yet another window sticker also confirmed what Ford Authority was the first to report back in June of 2019, too – that the F-150 Raptor will once again be equipped with a V8 – in the case of the R, the supercharged Ford 5.2L V8 Predator engine.
Ford Authority spies spotted an F-150 Raptor R prototype testing for the first time over a year ago, capturing its throaty exhaust note shortly thereafter. Ford was later caught benchmarking the Ram TRX against the higher-performance pickup, too. Just last week, Ford Authority spies spotted the F-150 Raptor R driving around without any camo whatsoever, giving us our best look yet at the forthcoming high-performance off-road-focused pickup.
We’ll have more on the F-150 Raptor R soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford F-Series news, Ford F-150 news, Ford F-150 Raptor news, and non-stop Ford news coverage.

I really Love the color options. I believe what we need is a total change up. Out of the norm.
We need lead foot gray!!!
I still want to know what the hell that pink color is. Also, why does the rear suspension look like it is in the stratosphere? It looks to be a solid 2 inches higher than the front.
A pink F150. I don’t think so.
How about adding a Pre Covid quality control option? Current post covid Ford quality is aweful.
