The Ford Mustang Mach-E has racked up its fair share of accolades in recent months, including earning Consumer Reports‘ 2022 Top EV Pick award, AAA’s Best Overall Car, a second-place finish in J.D. Power’s 2022 U.S. Electric Vehicle Experience (EVX) Ownership Study, and not one, but two rankings on CR’s Most Satisfying Electric SUVs to Own list, while most Mach-E buyers are coming from other brands and say that the would buy the EV crossover again, if given the chance. Now, Consumer Reports has released its 10 Most Satisfying Cars by Region list, and the Ford Mustang Mach-E joins the Ford F-150 as two of 11 vehicles that appeared in the top ten of at least two of four geographical regions in the U.S.
This data is derived from the consumer organization’s Annual Owner Satisfaction Report, which asks owners whether or not they’d buy the same vehicle again, as well as determining how those owners rate their vehicles in terms of satisfaction across five categories – comfort, styling, value, driving experience, and audio controls.
The Ford Mustang Mach-E ranked as one of the most satisfying. vehicles in the South and Western parts of the U.S., finishing as the tenth most satisfying vehicle in the South and the third in the West, behind only the Mazda MX-5 Miata and Toyota RAV4 Prime. Consumer Reports and its members/owners praised the EV crossover in a number of areas, including its abundance of cargo space, the availability of all-wheel drive, and standard driver-assist features.
The Mach-E also received praise for the fact that it’s fun to drive, with quick acceleration and “taut and agile” handling, as well as its quiet cabin. However, CR did criticize the steep learning curve of the crossover’s gigantic 15.5-inch infotainment system, which was its only negative remark in this case.
We’ll have more on the Mach-E soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Mustang Mach-E news and ongoing Ford news coverage.

And they just got recalled…
That is a tradition at Ford.
Recalls are a tradition at Ford
Frustrating!!!
Is there a possibility you can go into detail about the “Stop Sale” on the Mach e? You did mention it in yesterday’s issue briefly. This is slightly selfish on my part as I’ve waited 6 months for my order, the vehicle came into the store finally and now they can’t deliver it to me due to the stop sale. One would think they would get this handled fast but you’re stating third quarter.
Thank you
How can a car undergoing a major, production stoppage recall be in the top three?
Something is amiss in this report
Not really. Probably very few drivers have had an issue, and their satisfaction rate is high. There may be a stop-sale, but vehicles in the hands of owners are apparently well-received.
A do-not-drive bulletin, or, park-it-outside-50-feet-from-structures-or-other-vehicle warnings might be another story.
Well CR has been collecting this data for months and they released their findings several days ago, before the stop sale order was announced.
My PERDC team do great work develop best Chinese battery. Make US people’s very happy product. Looking forward when Ford listen to outstanding phd’s making smart ideas.
Ford just admitted this vehicle is no longer profitable due to rising cost of materials, couple this with the recall, this means higher prices with cheaper materials for this vehicle. I doubt it will be discontinued, since it’s not a sedan. This company hates sedans.
