One 2021 Ford F-150 Recalled Over Fuel Tank Attachment Strap Issue

Ford Motor Company is recalling one 2021 Ford F-150 over a fuel tank attachment strap issue.

The defect: the affected vehicle may have been assembled without a fuel tank front attachment resulting in an unsecured fuel tank attachment strap.

The hazards: an improperly attached fuel tank increases the risk of a fuel leak and potential for fire.

Ford is not aware of any reports of accidents or injuries related to this condition.

Components: fuel tank attachment strap

Affected vehicles: one 2021 Ford F-150 built on July 1st, 2020.

Number of vehicles affected: 1

The fix: dealers will inspect and repair (if necessary) the fuel tank strap bracket, free of charge.

Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin on June 27th, 2022. The Ford reference number for this recall is 22S42.
