Back in November, Ford Authority exclusively reported on the details of the brand new Ford Performance 2021-2022 Ford F-150 Whipple Supercharger Kit that debuted at the 2021 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Designed to add prodigious amounts of power to the Ford 5.0L V8 Coyote powerplant, this new 2021-2022 Ford F-150 Whipple Supercharger Kit is now officially available to order from the Ford Performance catalog, where it’s listed under part number M-6066-F150SCA, or M-6066-F150SCB for trucks equipped with Pro Power Onboard.
The new supercharger kit retails for $9,500 and includes Whipple’s Gen 5x 3.0L supercharger, which features an inverted twin-screw design, as well as a dual-pass intercooler, a Tomahawk calibration tool, and a unique calibration developed by Ford Performance. The kit increases the Coyote’s output significantly – from 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque all the way up to 700 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque on premium fuel.
The new Ford Performance Whipple Supercharger Kit fits all Coyote-equipped two- and four-wheel drive 2021-2022 Ford F-150 models and is CARB certified 50-state legal. Ford specifically tested the kit and engineered it to adhere to the automaker’s 100k-mile standards, and the offering comes with a 3-year, 30,000-mile warranty (for the supercharger only, in addition to factory Ford warranties) when installed by a Blue Oval dealer or ASE certified technician.
Installation prices will vary, but generally, once can expect to dish out an additional $2,000-$3,000 for the 10-12 hour job. Regardless, for an upgrade that adds a whopping 300 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque to Ford’s perennially best-selling pickup, that seems like a reasonable price to pay for some tire smoking, sideways fun, as well as dramatically improved performance both on the street and at the drag strip.
We’ll have more new parts and accessories to share soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford F-Series news, Ford F-150 news, and ongoing Ford news coverage.
