2022 Lincoln Navigator Recalled Over Exterior Lighting Safety Issue

Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2022 Lincoln Navigator vehicles over an exterior lighting safety issue.

The defect: in affected vehicles, headlight control module software may cause the side marker and daytime running lights to fail.

The hazards: a loss of exterior lighting can reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash.

Ford Motor Company is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this condition.

Components: headlight control module software

Affected vehicles: select 2022 Lincoln Navigator models produced from April 15th, 2021, to April 14th, 2022.

Number of vehicles affected: 965

The fix: dealers will update the headlight control module software and recalibrate the headlights, free of charge.

Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which are expected to begin July 11th, 2022. The Ford reference number for this recall is 22C14.
