The Ford Authority Take

The slight increase in Ford Brazil sales during June is outstanding news, as it puts an end to 29 consecutive months of declining sales for FoMoCo in the South American country. But alas, the company’s volume has finally stabilized after a year and a half in its role as importer, rather that local manufacturer.

This sales recovery in June was driven by a significant double-digit increase in the Ford Ranger, which solidifies its position as The Blue Oval’s best-selling model in Brazil. In addition, incremental sales of the Bronco Sport and the all-new Maverick, as well as the healthy increase of the Mustang, also helped move the needle from red to green.

However, year-to-date sales continue to be in the red, and in a rather deep way, and will likely continue through the end of the year, barring the unlikely scenario of an exponential jump in monthly sales volume.
