The compact van segment contracted 50 percent to 10,794 units during Q2 2022, meaning Transit Connect sales outperformed the segment average.

The Ford Authority Take

The numbers continue to speak for themselves, as The Blue Oval’s compact van offering continued to exert dominance over the competition during the second quarter of 2022. It is worth noting that all the vehicles within the compact van segment were in the red, but the Transit showcased the largest segment share – even with ongoing supply chain constraints.

In addition, FoMoCo was able to benefit from the discontinuation of the Nissan NV200, swallowing up a majority of the market share left in Nissan’s retreat. Though the ProMaster saw an increase as well, it didn’t come close to the 20 percentage points gained by Transit Connect. As such, the Transit was able to grow its already-dominant position ever further.

We want to order a 2023 Transit Connect Titanium. I have reached out to several Ford dealers for colors, options and estimated delivery date, but possibly due to the Mexican plant start up, none have answers. What is going on?

      Hi Russell,

The problem is that order banks are not open yet for the 2023 Transit Connects yet. They’re scheduled to open on August 15th for the U.S., at which time you should be able to place your order.

The order banks have been open for the ’23 models since the 3rd week of June. How I know this I ordered mine that week, they were suppose to open the 2nd week of June, mine is suppose to be here in late September, a XLT wagon, Blue Metallic and a hand full of options.
