Get This 1967 Ford Mustang Eleanor For ‘Free’ By Buying A Building

Securing an officially-licensed 1967 Ford Mustang Eleanor Tribute Edition isn’t a cheap endeavor, as we’ve seen multiple examples go for hundreds of thousands of dollars at auction in recent years. The small handful of real, surviving examples used in the movie Gone in 60 Seconds are worth far more than that, too, while the owner of the trademark “Eleanor” has shut down other people’s efforts to recreate the famous movie car in recent years as well. However, now there’s a way someone can get a 1967 Ford Mustang Eleanor Tribute Edition for free – well, sort of.

An exotic car dealership called Earth MotorCars is looking to sell its 68,325 square-foot building on 5.37 acres in Carrollton, Texas – which is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. The facility is currently occupied by multiple tenants that lease their individual space. Turns out, Earth MotorCars isn’t closing down or moving, but rather, is looking to fuel its rapid growth and raise some money by doing a sale and leaseback of its facility, which it has occupied since 2014.

The asking price of this particular building – $19,999,999 – isn’t exactly cheap, as one might imagine, but the seller is throwing in a pretty cool perk if anyone is willing to pay full price – a 1967 Ford Mustang Eleanor replica, which is valued at $380,000. Turns out, Earth MotorCars represents the company that builds these officially licensed replicas, so the connection certainly makes sense.

While a cool $20 million is obviously a lot of money to pay for just about anything, this investment seems like a pretty easy way not only to score a cool car, but also snag a building that is cash flow positive and needs minimal management. Thus, perhaps it’s no surprise that the firm selling the building – Arthur Greenstein Group at Douglas Elliman Realty – has already reportedly shown the property to multiple clients.
