The launch of the all-new 2021 Ford Bronco was plagued from the start with various issues ranging from supply chain constraints to hard top quality problems, and FoMoCo is still working to fill all of its orders for the rugged SUV to this day. Some Bronco reservation holders have been waiting years to take delivery of their shiny new SUVs, including a fellow named Manuel Flores, who recently received some of the worst news one could possibly get – his 2022 Ford Bronco was damaged in a hailstorm while traveling through Omaha, Nebraska recently, as he discusses in this Bronco6G thread.
Flores originally reserved his Bronco back on July 14th, 2020, but didn’t receive a VIN until March 4th, 2022. His 2022 Ford Bronco was then scheduled for production on April 25th, 2022, but was later pushed back to May 9th, 2022. Delivery was scheduled shortly thereafter for June 12th-18th, 2022, but the hailstorm on June 7th threw a proverbial wrench into that years-long process. Manuel contacted Ford, who told him that the damage his Bronco suffered was repairable, but it exceeded the limit specified in the automaker’s “warranty and policy manual.” As a result, he was told that it couldn’t be sold new and would instead be sold at auction.
Needless to say, Flores was understandably upset about this delay after waiting two years to take delivery of his Bronco, and it’s unclear how long he’ll have to continue to wait at this point. At first, Ford instructed him to reorder the vehicle through his dealer and request expedited delivery, but the dealership apparently didn’t know how to proceed and was reportedly awaiting guidance from the automaker. At the same time, Ford reportedly told Flores that there’s nothing it could do, and instructed him to contact his dealer. Several weeks have passed at this point, and now it seems as if Ford will indeed repair these damaged Broncos and sell them as new, however, in a major reversal from its original stance.
As Ford shifts toward more of a built-to-order model moving forward, these sorts of problems – which have been compounded by the chip shortage – are making it more difficult to do so, particularly as Ford’s order banks recently exceeded 300,000 units. As a result, it isn’t just Ford Bronco owners waiting long periods of time to take delivery of their vehicles, as 2022 Ford Maverick order holders have also been complaining about a general lack of communication while many 2022 orders will soon be pushed to the 2023 model year.
We’ll have more on the Bronco soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Bronco news and around-the-clock Ford news coverage.

My Reservation Date was 8/11/2020 ,i haven’t heard anything about a build date.
This is how a manufacturer succeeds in alienating and eventually losing customers, by wishy washy practices, and by their flat out fabrication of facts and practices!!
