Next-Gen Ford Ranger, Everest To Get Expansive Catalog Of Parts

The all-new, next-generation Ford Ranger and Ford Everest were revealed last November and this past March, respectively, while the very first deliveries of the new Ranger left Ford Thailand Manufacturing back in May. Both models were recently delayed in Australia, however, while the next-gen Ford Ranger won’t launch in the U.S. until 2023. Regardless, FoMoCo is already preparing a large array of parts and accessories for both models that it plans to add to its ever-expanding catalog soon.

That lineup will consist of a number of genuine Ford accessories, as well as officially-licensed products developed in conjunction with several aftermarket companies that will also carry a factory warranty when installed by a Ford dealer. In fact, these parts can be installed completely at the dealership before a customer takes delivery, so they can drive away in a customized vehicle right off the lot.

Ford’s parts and accessories lineup for the Ranger and Everest will consist of a wide array of goods, including sports bars, brush guards, wheels, lift kits, and even kitchen gear and a rooftop tent. Ford worked closely with enthusiasts and aftermarket companies to create a one-stop-shop solution in this regard, and used computer-aided engineering (CAE) and real-world prototype testing to ensure a proper fit.

“We made sure we actually went out and used the vehicles as our customers use them,” said Nathan Medbury, customization supervisor, Ford Ranger and Everest. “We took the cars and for two weeks we went to the Victorian high country and we lived out of them, off the grid, camping, and doing every track that we could possibly think of. We also conducted a number of rolling road tests for thermal performance and a significant crash test program.”

“Our goal was to create the most comprehensive, factory-backed accessory catalog we’ve ever had – expanding the versatility of Ranger and Everest for our customers and allowing them to work, play, and explore with family,” said Michael Karageorgiou, vehicle personalization director, International Markets Group, Ford.
