Turbocharged 2007 Ford Fusion Featured At SEMA Is For Sale

Back at the 2018 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction, a very special build from Galpin Auto Sports – this 2007 Ford Fusion, which was featured at SEMA – crossed the block and promptly found a new owner. Now, several years later, the orange and black build is back up for grabs once again, this time at Streetside Classics in Phoenix, Arizona. Its asking price of $23,995 isn’t terribly high either, considering the fact that far more than that went into creating this wild sedan.

This 2007 Ford Fusion certainly doesn’t look like anything else on the road thanks to a number of exterior upgrades including an MRT Ram Air hood, 3D carbon body kit, an APR Performance carbon fiber front splitter, an adjustable rear wing, blackout taillights, a center-exit exhaust, and a unique Atomic Orange graphics package over black paint. The sporty sedan rolls on a set of three-piece 19-inch wheels and Toyo Proxes tires to complete the look.

The interior continues that wildly modified theme with a six-point orange-painted roll cage, a GAS custom gauge pod, Katzkins upholstery, a custom GAS sound system, bucket seats with orange inserts and GAS logos, a rear-seat delete, HKS EVC controller, and an Kenne Bell boost controller.

Under the hood, GAS fortified this car’s Ford 3.0L V6 Duratech powerplant by treating it to a turbocharger, a custom air intake, and an SCT handheld tuner, all of which helps it generate a healthy 400 horsepower, which flows to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. Underneath, this 2007 Ford Fusion also features an H&R coilover suspension, Steeda sway bars, a strut tower brace, and Wilwood brakes to help keep all that power in check.

Put it all together, and this former SEMA star is easily one of the cooler custom Fusions out there in the world – one that’s equally capable of turning heads and going fast, whether that be in a straight line or around corners.

I have owned my 70 Ford Cortina GT since new and my son and I have road raced her since 1971. Over the years we have continuously modified her into a full race car. The latest project is to install a 2.3 EcoBoost crate motor along with a T5/G-Force 5 speed and a Winters Quick Change rear. Thought you might want to do an article on the build. We are featured in Grassroots Motorsports magazine in the April 22 edition on a half page, also in their Forum under Builds & Projects. You can also see us on YouTube on the “Scotia Garage” site.
