2021-2022 Ford F-150 Black Oval Kit With Camera Now Available

In recent years, the black oval has been somewhat taking over for Ford’s iconic Blue Oval on a number of vehicles, a move that corresponds with a rise in the popularity of black appearance packages. A number of FoMoCo models are now available with black ovals, including the Ford Explorer Timberline and the 2022 Ford Expedition Timberline, as well as the Ford Escape, Ford Edge, Ford Ranger, Ford F-150, and Ford Super Duty, when equipped with the appropriate option package. Back in December, Ford started selling black ovals as an accessory for the Ranger, F-150, and Super Duty, as well as a black oval wheel center cap for a number of vehicles. Now, those offerings have expanded with a new 2021-2022 Ford F-150 black oval kit for models equipped with a front camera.

Sold under part number M-1447-FBC1 in Ford’s official catalog, this new 2021-2022 Ford F-150 black oval kit fits all pickups in that date range that come equipped with a front camera, as well as the Ford F-150 Lightning Pro and XLT series trucks. The kit includes two black ovals – one for the front that’s black with smoked chrome, and a rear emblem that’s also finished in black with smoked chrome for a stealthier appearance. This particular kit does only fit Ford F-150 pickups that are equipped with the 360 Camera Package option, and retails for $165.

Previously, the only black oval kit available for the Ford F-150 fit 2018-2020 models, both with and without a front camera. Both of those kits retail for $130 and come with front and rear ovals. The non-camera kit also fits 2021 XL, XLT, and Lariat trimmed trucks without the 360 Camera option, but does not fit base 2018-2020 XL and XLT models. The latter kit with the camera option does not fit 2021+ F-150 models or base XL and XLT models.

As the popularity of black appearance packages continues to grow, it’s a safe bet that this new offering won’t be the last, particularly as more customers express interest in swapping out their vehicles’ Blue Ovals with something a bit stealthier.

  1. I have a 2022 Ford F150 and I have seen many different adds for upgrades but I think that Ford is being a bit cheap to not offer a Owners Manual and I need one to read to help me know the things that I need. I am a different person because I read the manual front to back. I would like to have one. I know that I can get it on my screen in my truck, but when I need it I can’t get since I am riving. Can I get an Owners Manuel?
