Affected vehicles: select 2022 Ford Maverick models produced at the Ford Hermosillo Assembly Plant from February 3rd, 2021, to July 9th, 2022.

  1. Ordered my Lariat hybrid on 06/24/2022. Manufactured by 6/18/2022. Arrived to the dealer 9/27/2022. Due to the recall for the side curtain airbag per Ford’s 22C20 campaign the service action a complete dealer bulletin for the service action will be provided Q1 2023! No delivery until the fix. Outrageous!

  3. Essentially the same with me. Ordered my Maverick on 12-03-21. Delivered to dealer last week on 10-06-22. BUT recall in place for defective side curtain airbags. Module to fix not available until 2023. Can either tell Ford to stuff it (love to but won’t) or wait until 2023 for parts available for fix. I’m LONG-TIME Ford customer. But this entire Maverick FIASCO, from start to finish, is a game changer.

  4. Due to the recall the delivery is 9 month after the vehicle was manufactured. It is a new car at that. time? It there an effect on the batteries for the hybrid being idle for 9 month?

  5. That’s my question as well. I ordered the Maverick in September, 2021, built in July, 2022, delivered to the dealership in October, and now is being held for a recall until the middle of 2023, is it really still a new vehicle? I’ll probably stick it out until if finally delivers, but this will probably be the last Ford I ever purchase.
