The 2023 F-150 lineup will no longer be available with two paint colors that were offered for the 2022 model year, Ford Authority has learned.
Specifically, the Smoke Quartz Metallic hue (paint code TQ) as well as Space White Metallic (paint code A3) will not be available to order for the 2023 F-150.
A $510 option, Smoked Quartz Metallic was available on King Ranch, Platinum and Limited trim levels of the 2022 F-150. Meanwhile, Space White Metallic was a no-cost option available on all trims in conjunction with the STX Appearance Package which included the XLT and Lariat.
In addition to the changes in its color palate, the Ford F-150 gains a few new options for the 2023 model year, including the retro-inspired F-150 Heritage Edition which is offered exclusively on the XLT and features unique two-tone paint.
Beyond that, the off-road focused Rattler joins the lineup, slotting beneath the Tremor. In fact, the Rattler will replace the standard F-150 Tremor configuration.
Additionally, the 2023 Ford F-150 Tremor will now come standard with the naturally-aspirated Ford 5.0L V8 Coyote engine. By comparison, the twin-turbocharged Ford 3.5L V6 EcoBoost (in regular output guise) was the only engine option available on the 2022 F-150 Tremor. The 3.5L EcoBoost engine will continue to be available as an option for the 2023 model year.
Finally, the existing F-150 Raptor will be joined by the highly-anticipated 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R. The Raptor R range topper recently made its big debut in July.
Before we sign off, we should note that all of the aforementioned changes apply exclusively to the gasoline F-150 lineup, and not to the battery electric F-150 Lightning.

Hey FORD listen up for the love of Pete would you please at least make a power driver’s seat an option in the XL !!
That would make zero sense. Just pony up for a higher trim level.
