2023 Ford F-150 Rattler: First Real World Photo Gallery

The 2023 Ford F-150 brings a handful of new models and packages to the iconic and highly popular pickup line, including the new F-150 Heritage Edition that features a classic two-tone paint scheme reminiscent of the pickup’s earliest years, as well as the F-150 Raptor R that puts a supercharged V8 under the hood to become the performance range-topper of the mix. In addition, the 2023 Ford F-150 Rattler also made its debut this model year as the entry-level off-road-focused model in the lineup, and now, Ford Authority captured photos of the pickup out in the real world for the very first time.

As a reminder, the 2023 Ford F-150 Rattler package is based on the pickup’s XL trim level and adds a handful of features found in the FX4 off-road package, including the skid plates to protect the truck’s undercarriage, an electronic locking differential, hill descent control, off-road shocks and all-terrain tires.

Probably the quickest way to identify the F-150 Rattler is by the Rattler badging on the bedsides. The exterior also features painted 18-inch wheels and a dual exhaust system, and can be ordered in a choice of eight exterior paint colors.

Inside, the Rattler features Onyx seats with burnished bronze accents and stitching. This color scheme is carried to the trim on the instrument panel, and is designed to call to mind the color scheme of the desert.

Customers interested in the 2023 Ford F-150 Rattler package can expect to shell out $1,495, which is $400 more than the FX4 Off-Road package. The Rattler package is an option on the 2023 Ford F-150 XL. Four engine options are available for the entry-level off-road pickup: the Ford 5.0L V8 Coyote engine, the 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine, the 2.7L V6 EcoBoost engine and the 3.5L V6 PowerBoost engine.

  1. Rattler? Really? RATTLER?

  2. I can’t wait for mine. Adding dual exhaust for and upgraded shoes to an XL fx4 would have been much more expensive than this “Rattler” package. I’m also a fan of the unique interior.

My only disappointment is the model year Ford finally offers a 5.0 in the tremor they also do away with the lowest option package. I would have spring for the Torsen front end.

As far as the name goes… I’ll probably remove the sticker rather quickly 🙂
