2023 Ford Mustang Nite Pony Package Revealed Ahead Of Official Debut

Following the launch of the Ice White Edition Appearance Package for the 2022 Ford Mustang and Ford Mustang Mach-E, The Blue Oval recently set out on a quest to let fans name its forthcoming black appearance package for the ICE-powered pony car. After receiving thousands of suggestions, it was unclear what name FoMoCo would ultimately settle on, but now it appears that we have a winner, as the 2023 Ford Mustang Nite Pony Package has been revealed online ahead of its official debut.

The Blue Oval officially announced the name of the 2023 Ford Mustang Nite Pony Package on Twitter earlier today, but photos of the resulting vehicle have also turned up as well. Unfortunately, those pictures aren’t accompanied by any additional information as of this writing, but we can at least see precisely what this new package will look like.

From what we can see in the photos, it appears that the Mustang EcoBoost, GT, Mustang Mach-E, and Mach-E GT/GT Performance Edition will all be available with this new optional package, which is pretty much what one might expect judging by its name.

From the photos, we can see a host of additional blacked-out elements on the ICE Mustang, including its unique five-spoke wheels and all of its badging – including ponies at the front and rear, as well as the “5.0” badges on the GT model.

Meanwhile, the Mach-E version has pinstriping on its rear pony badge for a more unique look, while the Performance Edition equipped with the Nite Package sports the same wheels as the regular version – finished in black, of course – with a black front pony that has an illuminated outline. While the blacked-out look fits best with black exterior paint, it’s clear from these photos that the package will also be available in conjunction with other colors, too.

  1. I’m not exactly sure what to make of the mono color offerings of late. Does this signal the official end to the S550 model(s)? Having owned an S550 for some time now, I think the lines are wonderfully attractive and the all black model will really hide many of them. But, to each his or her own…

  2. Seems like a simplistic name so why not just call it a “black package.”
“Night Pony” package hints that some options will not be available with this package. Also, as far as black goes, you can’t get any darker or mysterious “Space.” Space white is
like “jumbo shrimp” it doesn’t make sense if you think about it.
