The Ford Authority Take

After posting a slight sales increase in June, which brought an end to 29 consecutive months of declines for FoMoCo sales in the country, Ford Brazil sales experienced a sharply drop in July. In this fashion, The Blue Oval returned to its typical negative performance in July.

Ford’s best-selling model in Brazil, the Ford Ranger, suffered the highest drop among Ford’s current models in Brazil, thereby setting the brand’s overall negative result. At the same time, the Bronco Sport and Maverick – both of which recently launched in Brazil – saw volume drops compared to previous months.

Interestingly, the Ford Mustang was the only model that post an uptick in registrations on a year-over-year basis, albeit via low volume of only 26 units.
