No Ford Transit Connect Discount Offers In August 2022

The Blue Oval does not seem to have any Ford Transit Connect discount offers during August 2022.

In fact, August marks the fourth consecutive month that The Blue Oval has not offered any discounts or incentives for the Transit Connect, starting with May, June and July.

The lack of Ford Transit Connect discount offers during August 2022 is likely the result of healthy demand for and tight supply of the compact van line as Ford navigates ongoing supply chain constraints, including but not limited to the microchip shortage.

It is also worth noting that the Transit Connect is performing very well from a sales volume standpoint, earning a massive 80 percent segment share during Q1 2022 and a 63 percent segment share during Q2 2022. By comparison, the only rival still in production – the Ram ProMaster City – earned a segment share of 19 percent during Q1 2022 and 37 percent during Q2 2022.

If it is the market leader why are they going to discontinue the US version? New model? Why not develop a hybrid version, a mini camper, a pickup? Be creative Ford, I actually would rather see the Transit connect styling on the Maverick and create the different versions. A van, camper , pickup truck…….

I agree with Bbot. It would be a shame to see the Transit Connect go. it’s a ubiquitous work vehicle and I’ve used my 2014 wagon version as a mini-camper, bike and kayak hauler, and a thousand other things. I was waiting to see what the version had in store before replacing mine and moving it to the Maverick/Bronco Sport platform seemed perfect for use cases like mine.

I’m hoping that it ends up being a rebranding and the discontinuation of the Transit Connect name rather than axing the vehicle type overall.
