The Lincoln brand has a long-standing reputation for its quality interiors, as well as its landscape-oriented infotainment screens. As such, it’s no surprise that while the Lincoln brand itself has held steady in terms of its consideration ranking in Kelley Blue Book’s quarterly Brand Watch report, it has also earned high marks for driving comfort and interior layout. Now, KBB’s Q2 Brand Watch report has been released, and that rings true once again as the Lincoln brand ranked first in the luxury segment for its interior layout following a third-place finish in Q4 2021.
This past quarter, interior layout ranked seventh on luxury shopper’s list of factors driving consideration, moving up a couple of spots from ninth last quarter with a score of 46 percent. Lincoln beat out both Porsche and Cadillac to take home the top spot in this particular category in the second quarter of the year. It was a particularly good quarter for Lincoln overall, as it also took home the top ranking for driving comfort, which remained the third most important factor driving luxury shopper consideration in Q2.
The Kelley Blue Book Brand Watch report is a consumer perception survey that also weaves in consumer shopping behavior to determine how a brand or model stacks up with its segment competitors on a dozen factors key to a consumer’s buying decision. KBB produces a separate Brand Watch report for non-luxury and luxury brands each quarter. Beginning in Q1 2022, the methodology includes surveying both mobile and desktop users instead of only desktop users.
