2023 Ford F-150 Lightning Contest Launched Ahead Of Nascar Playoffs

The 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning launched to much fanfare and greater-than-expected demand, which means that many reservation holders are still waiting to take delivery of their all-electric pickup. Now, the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning launch looms as it prepares to enter its second year of production with a few changes on the horizon. With interest in the F-150 Lightning remaining high and supply low, it will once again prove difficult to obtain one of the EV pickups, though one lucky person will win a Lariat-trimmed model courtesy of the new “What the Frunk?” contest hosted by NASCAR.

The professional racing series is on the cusp of hosting this year’s playoffs, where drivers will vie for the ultimate prize – a shot at a championship, while millions of eager fans watch all the action go down. However, those fans will also be able to enter daily to win a 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning Lariat, as well as instant prizes such as Ford NASCAR Cup Series Driver diecasts, a VIP racing experience, and tickets to 2023 NASCAR Cup Series races.

Those interested in throwing their name in the hat to win a new 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning can do so by heading over here and entering their email address, with one entry allowed per person per day. The contest runs through November 6th, 2022, so there are plenty of chances to enter between now and then.

The 2023 F-150 Lightning has been treated to a few updates for the new model year including a range boost for models equipped with the standard range battery, a new feature dubbed Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, and the addition of a police-focused SSV variant, though the EV pickup won’t be getting Ford’s new Android-based infotainment system – at least not at launch, while AM radio has been dropped as well. Bolt’s line of locking products are compatible with the EV pickup, as the company recently announced, too. Order banks for the 2023 F-150 Lightning opened up last month, with production slated to begin on October 10th, 2022.
