2023 Ford Maverick Tremor In Shadow Black: Real World Gallery

The 2023 Ford Maverick Tremor Off-Road Package is the biggest addition to the compact pickup’s lineup for the new model year. The package adds a host of off-road-ready features to the pickup, including an advanced all-wheel drive system, among other compelling features. Ford Authority has already spied several examples of this pickup, including an example wearing Velocity Blue exterior paint, and another showing off its 2,000-pound towing capacity. We’ve also spotted one with the exclusive Tremor Appearance Package out and about, sporting an array of unique graphics. Now, we’ve spied yet another, this time dressed in Shadow Black.

As a reminder, the 2023 Ford Maverick Tremor Off-Road Package is just that – a package, not a trim level, like the F-150 Tremor. This particular pickup represents the entry level Maverick Tremor, as it is an XLT model, but the package is also optional on Lariat as well. It builds upon the existing FX4 Off-Road Package, adding new features including specially tuned springs and shocks, upgraded half shafts, a heavy duty transmission cooler and steel skid plates to name a few.

Under the hood, the 2023 Ford Maverick Tremor Off-Road Package harnesses the turbocharged Ford 2.0L I-4 EcoBoost engine. It also has a unique all-wheel-drive system that uses a twin-clutch rear-drive unit with a differential lock feature, which can be used to divert torque to whichever wheel needs it most. Note the exclusive Tremor Orange accents this pickup wears, which can be found in the grille insert, tow hooks, setting it apart from the “regular” 2023 Ford Maverick.

Order banks for the compact pickup unfortunately closed during the week. The 2023 Ford Maverick Tremor Off-Road Package adds $2,995 to the overall cost of the pickup, which starts at $24,455 for XLT models while Lariat models retail for $27,955, representing a small increase in MSRP over that of the 2022 model year. Additionally, the compact pickup is subject to several ongoing supply chain constraints, which have unfortunately limited the availability of myriad packages, including the Tremor Off-Road Package.

But get your orders in cause Ford is only producing ten of them and twelve are already spoken for………typical Ford. Getting tired of the false advertising this company has come to.
Face it there are still Bronco orders to fill, some told it might be 2025 before they get theirs.

you are correct I ordered 10/2021 never got it, dealer had to reorder on 9/15/22 ,got conformation from ford ( again) so we wait and wait, and you cant find any NEW ones at dealers ,maybe some used ones with a few miles, but ALL I have seen (used) are between $9,000-15,000 over what they stickered for, NUTS and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM FORD> never a word form the day I ordered 10/2021 I had to call and check on it.

I wish that Ford Motor Company stay in touch with it’s past Maverick owner’s and let them know of any possible Package’s that could be possible for their 2022 Maverick’s. Could these Package’s be a dealer installed ad-on for their Maverick’s also. Or could they purchase these Package’s to modify their Maverick’s?

I was wondering the same thing…Ford just wants all of us who ordered trucks last year and have been patiently, loyally waiting to simply go away. They see us as an impedence to being able to sell the trucks for thousands more. Short sighted!

You clearly haven’t been keeping up. If you ordered a 2022 Maverick and it wasn’t produced, Ford is giving you a rebate to cover the cost difference on a 2023. of course, it’s too late now.

Good comment. Seems like a lost opportunity for incremental aftermarket sales.

Why doesn’t Ford convert another plant to Maverick production, since getting one of these before 2024 seems remote. I’ll answer my own question. Because they don’t make as much profit as 70K, F-150s.

you’re absolutely right, the Taurus, Edge, Focus…etc plants are probably sitting idle or at least at half production they should be using those situations to boost the trailing product lines (bronco, maverick and others I’m not focused on). profit margin is a driving force for there decisions but pissing off customer (some lifelong) to the point of walking away from Ford completely should be their main concern. they’re only seeing that “we’re selling everything we make mentality” because of shortages, when they need to eliminate those restrictions and sell at full production rates by procuring resources however possible not just their normal suppliers, the steel, plastics and materials are available and the chip issue could be eliminated by using US products (probably slightly more expense but livable) to get ahead of the problem then go back to their cost cutting programs.

You don’t appear to understand the complexities of the situation.

i do understand the issues with changing production lines, my point is that ford could redirect resources to the vehicles that are in high demand to the point of not even accepting orders for them. you got people foaming at the mouth to buy these trucks, f-series, broncos and mavericks and there appears to be no effort by ford, other than shutting down order lines, to accommidate prospective customers. ford promises us vehicles and because they don’t feel their making enough profit they don’t deliver on those promises. yes their strapped for certain resources but how they’re handling it is completely unacceptable in no way have they been forthright in communicating with the customer on anything. we have to turn to this forum for anything pretaining to our vehicles, ford gives us NOTHING absolutely NOTHING!!

Except that Ford could up its game on communicating with customers with reservations or pending orders, the rest of your analysis of Ford’s motivations and ability to control external events is nonsense.

Because development of new vehicles is underway to fill other plants with other product.
It’s not possible to produce every type of vehicle on every type of production line. It’s not like making pizzas.

Given that the customers are different for Maverick and F-series, Ford is Not constraing Mavericks to get customers buy f-series.

If anything, Ford is redirecting chips to f-series components because the profit margin is greater on f-series and, as for fleet customers, you don’t want to lose them to Ram or GM. I don’t think any reasonable person could blame Ford for taking such a decision.

you’re absolutely right, why would be want to use those chips from our arch enemy?? they only objective is to cripple us any way they can, act like they’re our friends and backstab us every chance they get. have dealt with China for a long time and believe me “they ain’t our friend” they created the chip issue and will continue to hold us hostage until we cut and run. with the world going more tech by the minute you’d thing we would want to be part of that, but no lets be dependent on those that hate us. good plan!!

order banks closed for 2023 almost as soon as they opened. Look for those 5 figure mark ups for vehicles with 5k miles on them.

that’s just greedy people taking advantage of desperate buyers, but i guess if they’re willing to give up their Mavericks and fools are willing to give them those markups, power to them. just adds fuel to the dealerships screwing the rest of the order holders, hope mine don’t but i’ll have to see if i ever get one.

Got my Maverick order in to a Ford dealership the second day of new orders. But guess I will be driving my 22 year old Tahoe until “IF or WHEN” it ever comes. Begining to worry about Fords future, with all their problems. Hope the stock doesn’t tank again, but does not look good.

Ordered a 22 model Maverick and they wanted $500 earnest money not refundable.
A year and they was not earnest about getting me my truck. So I think they owe me $500 not refundable.

      I think that’s fair.

If they couldn’t deliver the 22 that you put the deposit down on they should return it to you (with interest) if you so desire.

Question: who said it was non refundable, Ford or your dealer?
