In the U.S., the FordPass app has become increasingly popular, reaching a 91 percent adoption rate among owners last year, hitting eight million members in 2021 (including Lincoln Way users), and earning high marks in J.D. Power’s first-ever U.S. OEM EV App Benchmark Study earlier this year. Now, as Ford Brazil continues to push artificial intelligence and other tech to improve customer service in that part of the world, it seems as if owners there are adopting the FordPass app in throes as well.
Since launching in Brazil back in 2018, FordPass has garnered 160,000 users, a number that has increased by 18 percent in the first-half of 2022 alone. As is the case in the U.S., Brazilian customers can use the free mobile app to schedule service and view a vehicle’s service history, receive recall and alarm alerts, access the owner’s manual and warranty information, take an interactive tour of vehicles in the 360 Guide, and search for dealerships.
Users can also access a variety of perks including exclusive and personalized offers and promotions such as sporting event tickets, free car washes, and support via chat or phone. Additionally, newer, connected vehicles can be locked, unlocked, or remotely started via the app, while owners can receive alerts and view odometer readings and fuel levels as well. Those that wish to have their vehicle picked up, serviced, and dropped back off after that service is complete can also do so via the FordPass app, too.
“FordPass users are discovering the ease of having all the car information in the palm of their hand,” said Guillermo Ferrero, FordPass supervisor in South America. “All Ford car owners are invited to test and use FordPass. I’m sure you’ll love the experience.”
