S550 Ford Mustang Rear Ride Height Adjustment Kit Out Now

Steeda has certainly been busy this year, releasing plenty of new parts for quite a few vehicles in The Blue Oval’s lineup. Additionally, the tuner answered the need for a fast, nimble police vehicle with its SSV Ford Mustang pursuit vehicle. Steeda also created an SSV Ford Explorer for those in need of a larger patrol vehicle, but not all of its creations are exclusive to police fleets, with its high-performance Ford F-150 Thunder Edition coaxing an impressive amount of horses from under the hood. Steeda has once again turned its attention to the S550 Ford Mustang, now offering a rear adjustable ride height system for the muscle car.

The rear ride height adjustment kit provides an alternative to coil-overs on the S550 Ford Mustang, since the location of the rear shocks isn’t optimal. Steeda’s kit “gives the rear of your car coilover-like adjustability” while reducing unsprung weight for track applications. The kit is geared more toward those who road-race their Mustangs, or take them to the drag strip.

For road racing, the rear ride height adjustment kit was developed using lessons learned from Steeda’s No. 20 S550 Ford Mustang race car, and prioritizes corner balancing while keeping the components lightweight. The kit also allows for easy adjustment of the vehicle’s ride height with a 1/2-inch ratchet for its time on the drag strip, which can then be adjusted back to stock for the drive home. The rear ride height adjustment kit can be found on Steeda’s website for $599.95.

This isn’t Steeda’s first foray into rear suspension components for Blue Oval vehicles. The company also offers an adjustable rear sway bar for the Ford Mustang Mach-E, making the crossover EV’s steering quite a bit more responsive for a fun, race car-quality ride.
