Over the past several months, Ford Authority has reported on the all-new 2023 Ford Super Duty extensively, proving a host of exclusive details about the forthcoming pickup as we await its official debut. That time has finally arrived, as the redesigned Super Duty is set to be unveiled tonight at 7:15 pm ET, when we’ll finally get to see it in the flesh and learn about all the changes we can expect for the new model year. The whole event will be broadcast live as well, which our readers can come back and watch via the video embedded below.
On the outside, the 2023 Ford Super Duty will represent more of an evolution than a revolution, as the popular pickup is set to retain a very familiar overall design that has carried on for quite a few years now. However, the new Super Duty will sport redesigned front and rear fascias with Ford’s familiar C-clamp headlight design. Other exterior updates include a unique “running W” front grille for King Ranch models, as well as a new integrated bed side step feature.
Inside the cabin, the 2023 Super Duty features a redesign as well, with some familiar features already present in the current Ford F-150 such as the steering wheel and American flag emblem on the dash. One big departure from the current-gen Super Duty is the presence of a single binnacle setup for the instrument cluster and center touchscreen, which replaces the current dual-binnacle design.
In the powertrain department, much of the current Super Duty’s lineup is expected to carry over, though the pickup will be getting a brand new gas 6.8L V8, as Ford Authority exclusively reported earlier this month. That new engine will utilize Dual Equal Variable Camshaft Timing (DEVCT) technology and port fuel injection, just like the existing the Ford 7.3L V8 Godzilla. However, while FoMoCo is investing big in electrification, the 2023 Ford Super Duty won’t be available with a hybrid powerplant.
Teased multiple times ahead of today’s reveal – a day that has been officially declared “KenTRUCKy Day” by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, we’re only a few hours away from the big reveal of the new Super Duty, so be sure and head back to this page tonight to catch all the action live!
