The all-new Ford Super Duty was revealed in late September 2022, with the lineup gaining a plethora of important technological updates and enhancements. The new Ford Super Duty features new interior and exterior styling, along with a brand new 6.8L V8 under the hood, and plenty of new features to boot. Recently, Ford Authority had the chance to get a good look at the new Ford F-350 Limited in person, and even spotted a Ford F-250 XLT SuperCab for the first time. Now, our photographers caught a 2023 Ford F-450 Lariat DRW Crew Cab dually pulling a trailer.
This 2023 Ford F-450 has a flashy chrome bumper, along with a sinister black grille. The chrome theme is carried around to the sides, where the pickup is outfitted with chrome running boards, along with body-color painted mirror caps. Also note the integrated Side Bed Step recessed into the side of the bed for ease of access. Chrome bumpers can also be found out back, complete with the Integrated Rear Bumper Step.
This particular pickup is a gasoline-powered model, meaning that it features either the all-new 6.8L V8 or the 7.3L V8 Godzilla engine. Other features include the enhanced integrated tailgate step, standard four-wheel drive on the XLT trim and up, along with a variety of technologies including Onboard Scales with Smart Hitch, the 360-Degree Trailer Camera System, Blind Spot Information System for Fifth Wheel & Gooseneck, Tailgate Down Camera and Tailgate Down Reverse Sensing System, Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, and Trailer Navigation, all of which aim to make hauling and towing much simpler.
Under the skin, the 2023 Ford F-450 has a frame that’s been strengthened in several key areas in order to facilitate the “most towing, payload, torque, and horsepower of any heavy-duty full-size truck,” according to The Blue Oval. Even the cab was redesigned to make the new Super Duty a force to be reckoned with in the heavy duty pickup bracket.
We’ll have more on the 2023 Super Duty soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford F-Series news, Ford Super Duty news, and continuous Ford news coverage.

That is a diesel powered truck. Look at the exhaust tips.
I dont even think 450 pickups have gas engine optional
They don’t have a gas engine as an option. Also why are they showing the 450 when they already shut down any more orders as of 1/11/23?
Sure looks like a diesel truck there. However there is no badge on the door…but exhaust tips tell another story
Wow, they are making them too big.
Im not sure if the 450 pu frame is the same as 450 cc frame. My feeling is the 450 pu frame is the same as 250 and 350 so no special bed just for 450 pu. before ford starting making 450 pu people would buy a 450/550 cc 176″ wb (+4″ longer than pu). then the frame and bed modified to fit. With the cc frame you could order a ~2ft longer wheelbase and then either modify an 8ft bed to 10ft or add a 2ft storage box in between cab and bed.
It would be nice if ford made 450 pu available with 7.3. Also why not even a 550 pu?!
