The 2023 Lincoln Corsair brings a host of new tech updates to the luxury crossover, including Sync 4 infotainment and Lincoln ActiveGlide, the automaker’s semi-autonomous driver assist feature, along with revised exterior styling, a redesigned interior, and the deletion of the turbocharged Ford 2.3L I4 EcoBoost engine. But perhaps the most interesting cabin updates involve the addition of two entirely new backlit applique options that make their first-ever appearance in the lineup.
The unique backlit applique options are available on the 2023 Lincoln Corsair Reserve and Ground Touring trim levels. Each option adds a soft, calming glow to the interior applique. Star Light Metallic is included with the Ebony interior colorway and is optional on the Ebony with Smoked Truffle cabin environment. This backlit applique features a dash of white lights across its face, positioned on a soft blue background to emulate a starry night sky, as its name would suggest.
The Finestra Aluminum applique is included with the Reserve and Grand Touring trims, and is also optional on vehicles outfitted with the Ebony with Smoked Truffle interior environment and Ebony with Cashew interior colorway. This pattern is a bit more subtle than the Star Light Metallic lighting, featuring a lavender light projected on a gridded background.
Customers interested in buying a new 2023 Lincoln Corsair can expect to shell out $38,690 for the base Standard trim level, thanks to a recent price increase. The Corsair Reserve MSRP starts at $43,075, while the Grand Touring starts at $53,385. However, production of the luxury crossover at the Louisville Assembly plant in Kentucky has been delayed by six weeks. Instead of beginning on November 1st, 2022 as initially projected, it will now begin rolling off the assembly line on December 12th, 2022.

Won’t happen now that inventory is lower due to “chip shortages”
What designer at Ford said “Hey! You know that starlight headliner that Rolls Royce has in the Cullinan? Yeah! Let’s take that idea and move it to the dashboard! It will be so luxurious!”
