Over the years, a number of Blue Oval-based builds and experiences have been auctioned off for charity, including a lunch with CEO Jim Farley at this year’s Monterey Car Week, as well as the one-off 2021 Ford Bronco Pope Francis Center First Edition. Now, that trend continues with this custom 2022 Ford Bronco Outer Banks, which is currently up for grabs at Bring a Trailer with all proceeds from the sale going to benefit the Boston Children’s Hospital, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing pediatric healthcare, education, research, and community service.
Finished in Cactus Gray with a black soft top, this 2022 Ford Bronco has been further enhanced on the outside with a set of mutli-color vinyl graphics derived from the Boston Children’s Hospital branding, which gives it a bit of a retro vibe reminiscent of the old Freewheelin’ package from the past. Those stripes are joined by Ford Performance LED cowl lights, Sasquatch Package fender flares, a receiver hitch, and front and rear tow hooks.
Underneath, this custom Bronco has been equipped with a four-inch Fabtech Motorsports lift kit with front and rear shock spacers, which help make room for a set of 17-inch Asphalt Black Fifteen52 Turbomac HD wheels and 37×12.5-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires. Out back, the spare tire on the tailgate is covered with a Boston Children’s Hospital-branded cover.
Inside the cabin, this Outer Banks Bronco is equipped with two-tone Gray and Navy leather, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, Ford Co-Pilot360, a Wi-Fi hotspot, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, and a sound-deadening headliner. Power comes from the turbocharged Ford 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost engine, which produces 300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque with premium fuel and is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
With seven full days to go in the auction, this custom 2022 Ford Bronco has already been bid up to $45,000, so it looks set to raise a considerable sum for a very worthy charity, making it a true win-win in our book.
