A handful of new Blue Oval models have been announced for or have already launched in Mexico over the past few months, including the Ford Maverick, which is set to arrive in that country early next year, as well as the Ford Ranger Raptor, which launched there in late 2021. Now, fresh on the heels of the Ford Bronco Raptor launching in the U.S. back in August, the rugged, high-performance SUV will soon be joining those models in Mexico following a digital pre-sale event that is set to take place on Tuesday, October 25th.
The Mexican version of the Ford Bronco Raptor is identical in every way to the one that has already launched in the U.S., which means that it’s packing some serious hardware designed to make it highly capable off the pavement. That list includes a Dana 44TM AdvanTEK front differential with upgraded half-shafts and a Dana 50TM Heavy-Duty AdvanTEK rear diff, the High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension (HOSS) system with Fox’s Live Valve technology, and revised controls arms that give the SUV up to 13 inches of wheel travel in the front and 14 inches in the rear.
The Ford Bronco Raptor is powered by the twin-turbocharged Ford 3.0L V6 EcoBoost engine, which produces 418 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque in this guise. It’s mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to all four wheels. The SUV rolls on a set of 17×8.5-inch beadlock-capable wheels, which are wrapped in beefy 37×12.50R17LT BFGoodrich KO2 all-terrain tires.
The Bronco Raptor certainly looks the part as well, thanks to its “Ford” script grille, super-wide stance, the Heavy Duty Modular front bumper, integrated removable Rigid LED fog lamps and off-road lamps, a vented hood, fender vents, massive fender flares, and a host of other unique details. Pricing for the Ford Bronco Raptor starts out at $2,124,400 pesos ($106,215 USD) in Mexico, though the automaker hasn’t yet announced when it will launch.
