The Ford Puma has been a popular vehicle since its launch in Europe, ranking as that region’s 20th most registered vehicle in 2021 and winning the Best Car for New Drivers in the UK award from Auto Trader. Now considered one of the Blue Oval’s “Icons,” the Ford Puma has also added a couple of special variants and some new features in recent months, helping to keep the crossover fresh in a competitive market. Now, the Ford Puma has once again been recognized – this time by Parkers, which has named it the 2023 Small Family Car of the Year for the third consecutive year.
In a rather competitive market, the Puma stood above the pack by ticking all of the boxes young families are looking for, including budget-friendly pricing, practicality, and style. “In almost every sense, then, the Ford Puma is one of the finest motors you can buy today,” Parkers said in its review. “Pitched as a car that can turn heads on a Friday night, fit flat-pack furniture with ease on Saturday afternoon, and provide an enjoyable drive on a Sunday morning, the Puma does it all.”
Aside from those positive attributes, Parkers notes that the Puma is also fun to drive, which isn’t always something that vehicles in its class can lay claim to. They also praised its interior fit and finish, an abundance of passenger and cargo space, the presence of physical controls, and it’s large rear cargo area, which features Ford’s “Megabox” underneath the load floor for even more space.
“Impressively, the Ford Puma picks up this award for the third year on the trot,” Parkers concludes. “In fact, it’s so good we named it our 2021 overall car of the year. With the small SUV category filled with newer alternatives, that’s no mean feat.”

Can we get the Puma here? Who cares?
Yes please on the Puma, lot’s better than the EcoSport.
Bring the Puma to the US. Not everyone wants a truck or SUV. I loved my small cars and my 1st generation Ford Focus 4 door hatchback was great. This would be an awesome replacement for my wife’s aging Honda Civic.
