The Middle East has enjoyed its fair share of new vehicle debuts in recent months, including the all-new Ford Taurus – which is actually just a rebadged Mondeo – as well as the Ford Bronco Raptor, both of which have already been announced for that particular region. Those new models will soon join the refreshed 2022 Ford Expedition, which has officially launched in the Middle East as the automaker continues to tweak its lineup in that part of the world.
Unlike some global models, the Middle Eastern version of the 2022 Ford Expedition is identical to its North American counterpart, and customers in that country will also be able to purchase the brand new Timberline and Stealth Performance Edition variants, too. That means that the large SUV features the same revised exterior and interior styling as the rest of the world, as well as a host of tech updates to boot.
Inside the cabin, the 2022 Ford Expedition comes equipped with a standard 12-inch infotainment screen running SYNC 4 or an optional 15.5-inch display with SYNC 4A, as well as an available 12.4-inch digital gauge cluster. Also optional is a new 22-speaker Bang & Olufsen Unleashed Sound System, a Rear Seat Entertainment System, 360-degree surround sound, and the BlueCruise hands-free highway driving feature.
The 2022 Expedition continues to be powered by the twin-turbocharged Ford 3.5L V6 EcoBoost, which produces 380 horsepower in XL, STX, and XLT trims, 400 horsepower in Limited, King Ranch, and Platinum guise, and 440 horsepower in the Timberline and Stealth Performance Edition models, both of which feature the high-output version of the same powerplant, as well as their own unique styling and mechanical features that make each more capable off-road and on the pavement, respectively.
The 2022 Ford Expedition is available to purchase in the Middle East now, with inventory already arriving at dealers there as we speak.
We’ll have more on the 2022 Expedition soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Expedition news and around-the-clock Ford news coverage.
